This zoom lens is a high performing piece of equipment. It could be
considered one of the best all around, general use lenses available
today. The build quality is top of the line as you would expect for the
maufacturer and the price range. It focuses very quickly, as well as
silently and smoothly... during auto or manual modes. Center and
corners are very sharp. Contrast and saturation are magnificent. There
is some barrel distortion when wide but this is to be expected for any
24 lens. A great lens with wonderful versatility and a very strong
